About Our Brazil De-Caffeinated Coffee
Like most de-caffeinated coffees, this blend is perfect if you are watching your caffeine intake or have any pre-existing medical conditions that are aggravated by it. This particular coffee is a very smooth blend with an indulgent chocolate and nut flavour profile.
What makes our blend stand out from others is how the caffeine is removed. We use an entirely natural method called the Swiss Water Process. Many other companies use cheaper processes, such as soaking the beans in solvents, which can impair the flavour of the coffee.
What is The Swiss Water Process?
Removing caffeine from coffee beans using the Swiss Water Process is 100% natural. Coffee beans are soaked in caffeine-free green coffee extract before being passed through activated charcoal to remove the caffeine. The beans are then re-dried before being bagged and ready for sale.
Whilst this process may sound easy, it is actually much more complicated and expensive than other methods that use chemicals. We wholeheartedly believe that beans processed this way produce the best-flavoured de-caffeinated coffee!
