About our Ethiopian Coffee
Whilst there is some debate, Ethiopia, or Abyssinia as it was once known, is widely considered to be the birth-place of coffee. Despite Ethiopia's overall coffee production trailing behind larger coffee-growing nations such as Brazil, some of the best beans in the world are still grown there and we knew we had to stock some!
Our beans are grown by The Bulechala Co-operative in Western Ethiopia, which is made up of 2,300 members. The crops are nurtured at altitudes of around 2,000m above sea level, which produces smooth, sweet-tasting beans.
This is a sweet-tasting coffee that is perfect in the afternoons with something sweet, such as our milk chocolate covered coffee beans.
